General Formatting: Papers must be written using Microsoft Word (no pdf or other file formats will be accepted/graded by the instructor); students must follow APA style (7th edition) and required formatting guidelines. Students will need to gather a minimum of 4 scholarly, peer-reviewed research articles and data to complete this assignment. All sources must have been published within the last 4-5 years (2014-2020). In addition to the FOUR REQUIRED journal articles, students may use reliable .gov or .org websites for additional/supporting information; however, the use of any “dot.com” references is not acceptable. Again, please note that any sources outside of scholarly journal articles, regardless of origin, will not count toward the required number of sources. The body of the paper should be a total of 4-5 pages; in addition, there should be a cover page and references section. Properly formatted in-text citations should be utilized throughout, and all citations and references MUST be in APA format. The paper is worth 40% of your grade in this course and should be set up according to this format: Use Microsoft Office/Word processor, Times New Roman 12-point font, one-inch margins on all sides, and set line spacing to double spacing (2.0). Incorporate a title page using APA guidelines. Write an introduction paragraph that sets forth the topic/statement of the problem. Be sure to end the paragraph with a “conceptual roadmap”—that is, 2-3 statements that describe what you will cover in the remainder of your paper. You must include headings and subheadings throughout the body of the paper for clarity and organization; there must also be a references section (all per APA guidelines). Furthermore, remember to check for spelling and grammar, as points will be deducted for improper usage.
