The Boeing 737 Max Plane

Proper citations (APA and legal) Footnotes (not endnotes or bibliography) The purpose of footnotes is to document the sources of ideas and quotations contained in your paper.  Crediting another writer for their ideas is as important as crediting them when you quote directly from their writing.              In footnotes, the author’s name appears first-name-first and they are arranged chronologically, according to when the quote or idea appears in your paper.  The punctuation is also slightly different from that of bibliographic form.  Page numbers are included to direct the reader to the exact place where the idea or quote was found.  The first line of a footnote should be indented five spaces and they should be single-spaced with double spacing between footnotes.  This spacing is technically inconsistent with MLS guidelines, but it conserves space and makes it easier to distinguish individual entries. Topic: In October of 2018 and March of 2019, the new Boeing 737 MAX plane suffered two crashes related to a software issue killing roughly 350 people. Aside from the tragic deaths and torn apart families, it had a major effect on the aviation industry, its suppliers, airlines, pilots, as well as shareholders. These tragedies sparked numerous law suits ranging from shareholders accusing Boeing of acting unethically putting profit over safety, settlements for bereaving families, pilots losing wages due to grounded planes, Boeing covering up the planes flaws, and many more lawsuits. The incidents have also sparked whistleblower claims to cause investigations on Boeing quality inspector training and how Boeing was allowed to only partly certify the planes. This paper will delve into the business effect Boeing’s mistakes caused up and down its supply chain while also showcasing where legally and ethically Boeing went wrong, how this is being remedied, and how they are currently handling the pending investigations.
