Support your feedback with evidence-based  literature and/or your own experiences with clients.                                                 Main Post     Based on this case study, it is clear that the client is undergoing depression after the loss of her wife in a fatal accident. She has lost the motivation in the activities and he is no longer going to work and not finding everything fascinating despite the interve3ntions that have been put in place. Cognitive-behavioral therapy is a short-term strategy that can be relied on to help in addressing the situation of the patient. The first approach using this therapy is to identify the situations within the client’s life that are majorly contributing to or is causing the depression. The distorted perception or the present thinking patterns are identified and dealt with accordingly (Don, Driessen, Molenaar, Spijker, & Dekker, 2019).  Based on the information, the main cause of the client’s condition is the death of the wife. Using the CBT, the goal, in this case, is to help the patient to reconcile the death of the wife. This involves permitting him to grieve while also providing the guidance and support needed to build a new life. The patient is then allowed to express his thoughts, allowing him to make sense of what has happened, and to give the chance of building a new life without his wife. The patient is prevented from experiencing a feared situation, for example, any event or picture that can trigger the memory of his wife. This is helping in increasing the sense of the control and well-being to promote the adjustment (Don, Driessen, Molenaar, Spijker, & Dekker, 2019).  `Concerning the rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT) strategy, the goal is to help in the identification of the self-defeating thoughts and feelings. It also involves identification of the challenges that result in the defeating feelings then replacing them with healthier and more productive thoughts, therefore, the task, in this case, is to identify the reminders or the triggering factors that make the patient not to forget his wife and then making him increase his interaction with friends and participating in other productive activities such as going for vacations, taking part in the physical exercise (MacLaren, Doyle, & DiGiuseppe, 2016).                                                        References  Don, F.
