Early Childhood Education

There are many contributors to early childhood education. Write a short report on Elizabeth Peabody( opened the first English speaking kindergarten in the United States). You should have at least 2 references for your research. Focus on the following questions in your research: *Why is it important for you to have an appreciation for the ideas, professional accomplishments, and contributions of the person you chose? (Good way to introduce paper) *What are the basic beliefs of this person? *How have the beliefs and ideas of this person influenced early childhood programs? *How is contemporary education influenced by this person? *Include any other interesting facts about this person. Use the questions above to guide your writing. To make your writing organized, you could address each question in a separate paragraph. One Page Paper Requirements: All one page papers must meet these requirements. These requirements will be strictly enforced. One Page Paper Requirements: One Page means that your paper should consist of ONE full page of typed text. That means that it must contain at least 500 words. You will do this using: 12 font Single Space Single Spacing Information: Most computers will default to (Normal) typing styles. This tells you what to do to ensure that you are typing your papers using single spacing instead of normal spacing. (When you open your word document to begin typing on your blank page, go to the top of your word document page, in the Styles settings — Make sure you have clicked on and highlighted the No Spacing box that should be located across the top of your word document page.If the Normal box is highlighted, when you hit enter, your typing lines will be double spacing and NOT single.) Make sure that you have clicked on and highlighted “No Spacing.” Typing Format for ALL One Page Papers: On first line of paper – Type information into Left Hand Corner (Refer to sheet labeled Typing Requirements and Formats for all course work this sheet explains what information is typed into – Top Left Hand Corner of your paper) Double Space Begin Typing your Paper using single spacing Attach Electronic Resource Link at the bottom of your paper References and Resources used for papers and course work: All articles/journal articles that you use for your ECCE Papers should come from a creditable and reliable source, such as a website. These websites should be legitimate sources that provide substantial articles with valid educational information about the topic that you are researching. The web is almost limitless and provides so many choices and options for you to choose from, but all sites do not provide good sound educational information. Choose the sources/sites for your articles and your articles VERY CAREFULLY.
