A Global Issue
* Organization of the Paper and the Presentation- The paper must have a title. The title must include the name of global problem to be addressed. The following requirements must also be included in the organization of your paper and presentation: 1. Abstract/Introduction- in this section, your team should briefly describe the global problem, why it’s important for us to study this problem, establish a goal and propose a solution. This section in the paper should not be more than 300 words. 2. Application- your work will consist of three sections: presenting the global problem, establishing a goal and providing a solution. A. Presenting the problem: What is the problem? Thoroughly discuss the problem and explain why this problem is currently important or relevant to study. Who or what is being affected by this problem? You should address these questions and select three different areas within this global issue to discuss. B. Establish a goal: What is the goal that you want to accomplish? Discuss why there must be a change/solution to the problem. What will happen if we don’t accomplish the goal? Describe the implications for not accomplishing the goal. For example: Our goal is to lower the national debt. Otherwise, the national debt will continue to increase and due to this, the government will have no choice but to reduce benefits and programs. C. Provide a Solution: Provide the solution that you advocate is the most appropriate one to solve the problem. For Example: We need to raise taxes to lower the national debt. 3. Conclusion – in this section, you will provide its final thoughts on topic and findings.
