The job application package that you submit will consist of four parts:A cover email noting the attachments and the link to the job ad.A cover letterA targeted CV Three referencesImportant: You will upload two documents. The first will include only the cover email. The second will contain the cover letter, resume, and references as one document. Address your materials to the hiring manager; not me. If the job application says to “apply online,” ignore this and make up the name of a fake hiring manager.Tips: The job you apply for must be a real job with a real company or organization (volunteer or paid).The job should be more advanced than the job you do now. It should be a job you aspire to.It must be feasible that you could do the job after graduation (based on your qualifications, your geographical location, your training, etc.)The job must be related to the field you wish to enter when you finish your studies. The position does not have to be vacant or advertised at the time you apply, but it does have to exist.You may not apply to work for family members.Put the link for the job advertisement in the cover email.The cover email should mimic the one on pg. 226.Your resumé must be current and true. Do not recycle a resume or cover letter from another class. This is plagiarism and it is grounds for an automatic zero.Hand in your application on time. Sloppy formatting and/or careless editing are grounds for failure.
