Matthew 18: 21-35, Peter asked how many times would his brother sin against him and suggested seven times. But Jesus suggested to not keep track and can not stop forgiving.  Then there is a parable mentioned that a master forgave the debt of a servant. He canceled the debt of the servant because it was an extreme amount. The master understood that that may be the end of their business because why would someone continue with a servant that cannot pay their debt. This still qualifies as forgivingness because your heart is clean and one is moving on. However, the servant sees someone that owes him way less than what the servant owned the master. The servant looses it and strangles. The man asked for patience, basically the same words he use. But instead, he sent him to prison. His master summoned him and reminded him about the big debt that was forgiven and was angry that he didn’t show mercy. The servant was sent to prison and had to pay back his debt. The last verse says that we must forgive one another because God forgives us. This parable teaches us that our sins are beyond repayment. God purposely gave us this “debt” so we can be forgiven. Also that we need to forgive others and realize that their wrongs cannot be compared to what we have done to God Guidelines Cover page: student name, cohort, location of class, assignment, course number, faculty name Formatting: 12 point Times New Roman font; double-spaced; one inch margins.
