Doctoral Capstone Project

I will use a close-ended questions instrument where participants can say yes or now when answering the survey. Methodological Assumption of the Study: Quantitative study using a survey method3) Epistemological Underpinning: InterpretivismOntological Assumption of the Study: Researchers will use interviews and focus groups to capture the story of facilitators in South florida using an ununified curriculum to lead PSR groups.Axiological Assumption of the Study: Considering that researchers cant remain completely objective, we will actually create an space to discuss the researchers bias and preconceptions. Methodological Assumption of the Study: A qualitative design will be used and data will be analyzeusing Thematic alaysis (Lee clarck , 2013) 4) Explain how Walden University’s mission of social change influences the axiology of the researchyou will conduct as a student.After reading several times Walden University’s mission of social change, I consider the University encourage students to create and apply ideas, strategies, and actions toward the improvements of human and social conditions (Walden University). I believe the mission for social change does not correlate with a quantified/objectively/ type of research. However, as a practitioner, sometimes, how the data is interpreted and how the data is used makes a difference. In other words, the axiology of the research could be based on positivism or interpretivism assumptions and both data can be useful to generate a positive social change.5) Identity the lens you may use for your capstone and evaluate one advantage of using that lens to conceptualize your topic.I would use an interpretivist approach for my capstone.
