She has a well-paying job in upper management and has been with the same company for seven years. Even with a solid work history, she is constantly worrying about losing her job and being unable to provide for her children, as there was no insurance on her husband when he died. Alice has been unable to stop negative thoughts. Over the last three years, Alice has found herself feeling anxious, tired, and stressed. She often paces when alone. She has been embarrassed in meetings where she has lost track of what was being said or what she was saying. When trying to sleep, her brain does not shut off. She mentally rehearses worse case scenarios regarding her job, taking care of her children, becoming homeless, and even ill due to stress.
